How do I book an appointment? Do you accept walk-ins?

We see patients by appointment only.

New patients are encouraged to call so we can briefly discuss your needs and ensure our services are the right fit. If we’re unable to answer during business hours, we’re likely in session with a patient; please leave a message with our answering service or send us an email. We pride ourselves on prompt responses and aim to return all calls and emails within the hour.

To help us schedule you efficiently, please include your availability in your message (for example: “I’m available Tuesday the 14th between 2:00–4:00pm”).

A credit card is required to reserve an appointment for all new patients.

Insurance Information

Are your services covered by insurance?

Insurance benefits will vary from plan to plan even within the same insurance company, so there’s no quick way of knowing if your insurance will cover acupuncture. We will need some information from you to confirm your eligibility prior to your first appointment. If a co-pay applies, this will be due at the time of your visit.

Patients using insurance are responsible for understanding the terms of their individual policy. Our office does not keep track of acupuncture visit limits.

Your Appointment

When should I arrive for my appointment?

For your first appointment, we ask you to complete our online patient intake form. Please try to arrive five minutes before your appointment to ensure a timely start and full treatment.

How long is a treatment?

Your first visit will take approximately one hour. If you have limited time, please inform us before your appointment begins and we will adjust the length of your treatment accordingly. For subsequent visits, please allow 45 minutes.

How do I prepare before treatment?

Prior to your arrival, be sure you’re NOT coming in on an empty stomach. A light meal beforehand is recommended.

There is no dress code at our office, so come as you are. Should your session require any disrobing, you will be draped where necessary and with your utmost comfort in mind. Acupuncture promotes relaxation and does so by reducing the heart rate. If you are planning exercise and acupuncture on the same day, we recommend exercise first followed by acupuncture. The reverse may be counter-intuitive.

What if I need to cancel?

As a courtesy to our staff and other patients, please allow 24 hours’ notice for cancellations and rescheduling. Missed appointments or cancellations that occur less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are subject to a fee of $100 or one docked session.

Do you offer corporate appointments?

We can bring appointments to you — at your office! Regular standing appointments or as-needed arrangements must be scheduled in advance. Please email Iris directly for more details.
